Redundancy

If an an employer decides that they need to revise the roles, positions and structure of their business to meet changes in the market, customer needs or needs of the business, they must follow a proper and fair process. All redeployment options must have been exhausted before any positions can be made redundant.

The reasons for the redundancy must be sincere. We can help business owners to work out the best way forward for their businesses if restructuring is what they are wanting to do, ensuring they are adhering to the processes required. This can involve merging 2 or more existing roles, adding entirely new positions, removing positions that are surplus to requirement or a combination. We can also give support to any employee that has been affected by a restructure and does not believe fair process has followed.
